RVP League Player of the Year PFA English Version

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie re-elected as the best player in 2011-2012 by the Professional Football Association (PFA).

This is the third time the award is earned by the RVP this season. Van Persie has scored 37 goals in 48 games and is now recognized as the top player in Europe.

"Robin has a great season and has proved itself better than the quality of Dutch striker Dennis Bergkamp before like, Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Marco Van Basten," said PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor.

Many fans asked to defend Arsenal, Arsenal had worried would be able to persuade him to remain at the club or even to lose RVP as the previous players who entered the Manchester City squad.

"Many of the goals created from his feet and not just this season alone, but every season the quality of the game and his shot will not be forgotten," said Taylor.
