    Circumcision Reduce Risk of Infection

    The results of recent research experts reiterated the threat of the risk of urinary tract infections in boys are not circumcised compared to children who are circumcised. These findings dipulikasikan on July 9, 2012 in the journal CMAJ.

    In his observations, the researchers examined nearly 400 boys aged 3 years or younger who go to the hospital with symptoms of urinary tract infections. The results showed, about 25 percent of boys are not circumcised have a urinary tract infection. Meanwhile, only 5 percent of children who have been circumcised are suffering from a urinary tract infection.

    These findings as well as reinforce previous studies showing increased risk of urinary tract infections in boys are not circumcised.
    In the new study, the researchers hypothesized that some boys are not circumcised have a higher risk of infection than circumcised.

    Boys are not circumcised with the opening of the urethra that is not visible or partially visible exposure have a higher risk of urinary tract infections than boys are not circumcised, but have the urethral opening. In general, boys are circumcised have more urethral openings than boys are not circumcised.

    The experts recommend that health professionals consider the status of circumcision of boys. Boys are not circumcised are considered at high risk of urinary tract infections because they have a higher rate of growth of bacteria under the foreskin.
