'' When properly alleged eye this agenda then the President should firmly reject any requests or pressure exerted by the U.S. government,'' he said on Monday (3/9).
He explained that there are three main reasons the rejection of a contract extension.

First, Article 169 paragraph (B) of the Mineral and Coal mandates, contract work will be respected until the end. Mandate must be respected for Mining Law is the embodiment of the will of the people of Indonesia. That is, the president has a sworn duty to uphold appropriate when inaugurated.

Secondly, he continued, Freeport was too much enjoying the wealth that should be used for the prosperity of the people of Indonesia. Moreover, Freeport until now been reluctant to transparently how the benefits obtained.

Finally, if the extension passed by the government at the urging of the U.S. government means the country of Uncle Sam has been through political pitting. That is, between the government of Indonesia with its own people.
